Based on a full academic review, Raul Gonzalez Acuna designed a Solar Humidification-Dehumidification (HDH) prototype to meet the drinking water requirements of the population residing in the different cays of Venezuela. This was done as his undergraduate thesis. He built the prototype, as part of his graduate masters of science engineering thesis, with the corresponding optimization of the Solar Collector, the heart of the process.
